Roaches in unit.
Liked: The assistant manager was friendly at check.
Disliked: Shortly after entering my room, a cockroach crawled out of the air conditioning unit. I immediately went to the assistant manager at the front desk to report this and express my disappointment. He assured me that my report would be shared with the General Manager and I would receive a phone call. It has been 3 months and I have yet to receive a phone call from the General Manager. I then contacted Holiday Inn's customer service and the representative I spoke to assured me that someone from Holiday Inn would be contacting me as well; however, that has not happened either. As an invested Holiday Inn hotel frequenter and credit card holder, I would have never expected such disregard to this sensitive matter. Any kind of bug incident should be followed up on immediately; however, that has not been the case with this particular location. I am very disappointed with the disregard to my concerns. I am still waiting for that phone call and a reimbursement for this horrible inconvenience. Holiday Inn and management at Fayetteville South location have to do better than this!!! This disregard is unacceptable.

My syat was horrible and...
Liked: I rarely do reviews despite bad experiences, but this hotel deserves a bad review. The place was relatively clean, and the breakfast was just OK. The manager the last day of my stay was a nice and reasonable person.
Disliked: When arriving at 3pm, my room wasn't ready. Someone helped me, but she was changing shifts, so the someone else took over. This woman was combative and confrontational from the get-go. I told her that she had no customer service manners, and she got even more confrontational. She threatened me with throwing me out of the hotel (leaving me without a place to stay in town), and calling security, which she did. Someway, somehow, I managed to de-escalate the problem. The role of customer service is to serve their patrons and have some skills to calm and reassure the customers instead of escalating and making bad situations even worse. She was being loud and combative in front of other customer while alienating the other employees against me, including the security guard. I asked for her name, and she refused to give it to me. Her argument was that she was not obligated to give me that information. That's a sign of guilt. That woman has no customer service skills.To add insult to injury, this hotel has speakers playing (horrible) music onto the empty PARKING LOT right outside the windows in my room. What for? Why play music to the empty parking lot? Then this hotel is located right next to a typically lower rating hotel/motel, where some dudes decided to blast loud music in the parking lot from their car at 10pm. What a nightmare!Horrible customer service and the other factors make this an undesirable place for me. I vow to never return.
