An affordable base for exploring...

Liked: Friendly staff, complimentary breakfast and a decent hotel gym made for a comfortable stay. Also, there's a sizeable Publix supermarket almost nextdoor, and a lovely park with a great view over the Ashley river.
Disliked: While there's amenities and a lovely park close by, the hotel is more than a bit of a stroll away from Charleston's historic centre, which is something to take into account in SC heat.

Liked: Room was comfortable
Disliked: The hotel is supposed to be located in downtown turns out it was somewhere called downtown west or something similar. Not walking distance for any decent place. There’s a parking fee and a dog fee not disclosed before nor at the booking time.

Liked: My son's blood sugar level dropped to 44 about 5 a.m. I rushed down to the lobby to get a soda and candy to help get his level back up to a safe level. When I went over to pay the desk clerk his computer was being extremely slow. He told me to go with my items because what I was needing to do was more important than waiting to be able to pay for the items. He told me I could just drop by later to pay. That made me feel good to know they trusted me enough to come back and pay; but not only that, he knew the importance of taking care of my son's blood sugar.
Disliked: No Mountain Dews or Pepsis available

A wonderful place to stay...

Liked: Very clean and welcoming. There was a wonderful breakfast service every morning. coffee and tea available all the time.
Disliked: Nothing

Good hotel at the outskirts...

Liked: Good hotel at the outskirts of Charleston. Nice, big room and pleasant appearance. Friendly staff and free parking. The hotel is within walking distance to Downtwon Charleston for people good on foot (~30min) but there's also a free city bus that connects the hotel with the rest of the city.
Disliked: The location is not very central but we knew that when booking the hotel, so that's no problem really.

Nice place to stay to...

Liked: Room was good size; beds were comfy, breakfast was really good, hours for breakfast were good. Front desk staff was always friendly.
Disliked: Construction on the outside with detours - made it difficult to get around. Availability of parking, the TV channels - many did not come in and did not coincide with the channel lineup, no hooks to hang towels in bathroom to dry, someone used a key card to try and come in our room the second night and we were lucky to have the emergency lock engaged so they didn't get in. We put a chair against the door the rest of the nights there. We told the front desk when we checked out and she said it must have been maintenance. Cleaning staff did not leave extra roll of toilet paper the day before we left. I had to review bill because they charged for parking each day and when I booked through booking.com, it gave me a total all in so they had to adjust it and provide me with a credit. Do not believe you should charge for the stay and to park there - it should be included with your stay.

Liked: Mostly clean and good location. Comfortable beds
Disliked: The staff were not very helpful. A gas leak in my room and needed to be swapped. I ended up not staying the last booked night because of how terrible the service was and asked for the last night to be refunded. They said they would get back to me and haven’t.
