Liked: The front desk made fresh coffee for us upon arrival when I asked if there was coffee available this late in the day. There was coffee available, but she made it hot and fresh. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Liked that there was a raised platform for your suitcases to sit on. Its nice to have a breakfast available.

Exceptional

Liked: The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.
Disliked: There wasn't anything I didn't like, but we only stayed one night.

Disliked: We spent 2 nights no housekeeping done. I would have liked new towels and we r as. out of kleenex

Fantastic! Can’t wait to stay...

Liked: We absolutely loved the breakfast that was served. It had a great variety and hot food was actually hot. The hotel was easy to access from freeway. Gas station, restaurants, and stores close by. The parking lot was well lit. If ever in Brighton again, we’ll be staying here again.
Disliked: Road construction.

Disliked: Young lady that checked me in requires a lot more additional training. Couldn't find my reservation. Was about to call the Holiday Inn Express along I-96 to see if I had a reservation at that location when she eventually found it. Took >15 minutes to check in.

Less than standard Holiday Inn...

Liked: The bed its self was mainly comfortable.
Disliked: The manager checking us in was less than friendly. Telling us “it was a good thing” we showed up when we did otherwise she was going to give our room to someone else. Even though I had specified we wouldn’t be checking in until between 8pm and 9pm since we had a baseball tournament. Our room was unlocked/open when we arrived. Just overall an unsettling feeling. Our room had an overwhelming scent of room spray, to the point our clothes smelled of this after leaving the room. When we got to breakfast at 8:45 am (on a Sat so it was available until 10) the pancake machine was not working and the same manager just said “oh, I thought I fixed it” and then apologized. There was no oatmeal and when I asked if they would be bringing out more I was handed instant packets for me to make using the hot water…All of the trash cans in the outdoor space were overflowing. It was not worth the price we paid.

Great location and comfortable rooms

Liked: The breakfast was just okay. The turkey sausage was rubbery, and the omelet lacked flavor. The location is great and very close to where my brother lives. Plenty of restaurants available in the area.
Disliked: While using the restroom upon arriving in my room, I happened to glance over and noticed that the drain seemed to be very rusty OR was that a big wad of dark black hair? Well, it was a large wad of long dark hair. So, whomever cleaned room 321 on the day of Sunday the 21st of July did a poor job. I removed the hair myself instead of calling housekeeping. I made sure to clean the drain before I left the room on Tuesday!
