Stayed one night Friday 26th May. Very surprised at how reasonable the rates were. Very clean. Very pleasant staff. Great breakfast. Room good size - no complaints at all!

Disliked: Could not get back into our room once we’d left so had to go back to reception to get the card re-activated. Slightly annoying!

Great hotel and excellent value; easy to access and plenty of parking; ideal when visiting an exhibition or event at Ricoh Arena.

Disliked: I would prefer a brighter light in the bedroom to read by. Also when you try and sit up in bed the bed moves away from the wall and you have to get out and wedge the wheel with a towel!

Disliked: Holiday Inn Review - A Disappointing ExperienceI booked a room at this hotel two weeks in advance for two days and paid in full online. Everything seemed fine until I arrived. Despite my request for an early check-in (and my willingness to pay an extra fee), it was denied. While I accepted this, I find it basic courtesy to make an effort for a client who has prepaid and booked well in advance.At the reception, the staff member (who appeared more annoyed than professional) informed me that no rooms with a large bed were available, even though that was the type of room I had reserved. Instead, I was offered a room with two small beds, which is unacceptable given that I had specifically paid for a certain level of comfort.The room itself was disappointing. The beds were on wheels, making them unstable, but we decided to push them together to compensate for the lack of a large bed. The next day, when we left the room to run errands, we returned to find that the cleaning staff had moved the beds back to their original position. On top of that, there was a note on the table warning us that moving furniture was prohibited and considered disrespectful to the hotel.It is absurd to accuse me of being disrespectful when the hotel itself did not respect the basic terms of the reservation. Moreover, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. Under the beds, there was dust and dirt, and the bed linens were not changed even after the so-called cleaning. The beds were "made," but it was done hastily, using the same old linens.It is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard to treat customers with such unprofessionalism. If you advertise on booking platforms that you have rooms with large beds available, those rooms should be guaranteed for guests who pay in advance. Not to mention the disrespectful attitude and disregard for the customer experience.I do not recommend this hotel.
