Was in Mobile for Spring Fling Blues Concert. Hotel was nice and staff was very friendly. No complaints. Will definitely stay again next year.

Disliked: The breakfast was good but set up was scattered. The grits and oatmeal were at one end of the bar and the hot water was at the other end. The waffle mix was a bit confusing - it said push but there were 3 different directions to push. The set up should be set so items that you need for a particular dish are close together.

I attend the Blues Fest every year - this will be my hotel. I like the fact that our rooms were ready when we arrived at 9:00am.

Liked: This hotel is conveniently located in Mobile close to I-65. It has ample parking and the staff is super sweet and helpful, especially the breakfast crew who went out of their way to provide a great breakfast and restock all items despite the busy crowd. The breakfast items are of much better quality than in most other hotels - fresh biscuits, tasty gravy, good eggs and house fries, pancake maker, cereals, oatmeal, pastries, three shelves with different breads, yogurt, fresh milk and chocolate milk and much more. The lobby is very appealing. In comparison with other hotels and cities, only the price is a bit on the upper end for Mobile, the I-65 location and overall amenities (i.e. pool and fitness center).
Disliked: The only thing which the management has to improve ASAP is the heaps of single-use styrofoam plates, bowls and plastic utensils. When even Super8 motels can switch to more sustainable and eco-friendly paper/wood items, why is a chain like Holiday Inn lacking behind to such an extent.It's about resources and preserving nature (otherwise a big topic in Florida). The pool was nice but in contrast to Californian hotels it was not heated and couldn't be used in December (although there were temperatures in/around the upper 60ies and 70ies.

I would stay again.

Disliked: Pool was outdoor and too cold to use, no whirlpool. Bathroom setup was inconvenient, toilet paper and soap dispenser at sink where not positioned for easy use.
