Exceptional
Liked: Our family stayed 3 nights in the family interconnected rooms. We had a few requests before arriving and all were fulfilled. The rooms exceeded our expectations and the staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Bebitha at reception who went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely time

Not worth booking
Liked: The staff was friendly and very helpful
Disliked: The whole hotel was shabby! Elevators had loose and exceptionally worn panels to push for your floor.Bathroom smells musty.Bed was terrible.Parking facilities were atrocious!!!! Virtually non existent. Especially for a hotel that size! It should be 4 times the size and gated due to the location of the hotel! And we were allowed to pay £7 for the privilege….It was very noisy!Breakfast was awful especially the coffee. Toaster hardly made the bread warm, let alone toast the bread!Air conditioner didn’t work! Our daughter’s room actually had a screw in the controls replacing the slider! Appalling!I’ve never slept as bad as this in a Holiday Inn!!We are gold members of Holiday Inn but booked through other means!Never again will we be staying there!

Exceptional
Liked: The hotel was simply wonderful for a last minute booking . The staff were excellent, kind, approachable. The breakfast was great and such a wonderful surprise as they also had GLUTEN FREE and DAIRY free options which is a plus having allergies and it was all included in the price! The hotel parking was straight forward about £7 for the night and there's a pay and display at the back if the few spot get full up. Watford Junction is just next door, but cannot hear the trains from the rooms. The kids were happy and so were we. Thank you all! :-)

Basic and good for travel
Liked: The hotel itself is situated in a pretty rough area. It doesn't look safe or appealing. However it's located close to shops and a train station for easy access to London and its main tourist attractions. The beds are small and not too comfortable..however they were clean and the showers were nice and powerful. In the hallway, we found plates of food outside the lifts, which wasn't great! We stayed for our sons birthday as we visited Harry Potter Studios (15 min drive from the hotel)..Breakfast was not the best. Basic with not much taste or quality. However, the hash browns were lived by our son. We had plain pastries and cereal. Coffee machine isn't good and the fresh juice is not fresh it's from concentrate and tastes cheap. So I'd wait until you're out to find decent coffee if you're a coffee or tea drinker. The hotel does what it needs, a bed to sleep in and good transportation links, but if you are looking for a luxury, look elsewhere. The staff are kind and the place is clean (bar the halls and the plate of food).
