Liked: Room was clean, bed comfy
Disliked: Sink in bathroom had black mould. Shower drain and floor had dirty marks.Breakfast fridges not topped up with yoghurt, fruit and cutlery. Tables at breakfast not cleared had to do this ourselves to sit down

The Hotel is an accident...

Liked: The staff tried to be helpful under very difficult circumstances imposed by the owners. The Manager, Julie, was extremley apologetic and explained that she was in a position which was not of her making or the standard that she personally would expect.
Disliked: Upon arrival, all rooms once again were freezing cold. There has been no heating in the hotel since October 2024. Heat is provided by convector heaters which are extremley dangerous. The room had been cleaned to a poor standard and there was make-up all over both towles in the bathroom. After complaining, I was told that the hotel was 20% over booked and that this happens daily. Therefore, there were no other rooms. The standard was dispicable and the use of convector heaters is a DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. As a Health and Safety Inspector, I would shut the hotel down if I was auditing it. Convector heaters should not be left on 24/7 - they are designed as a product to provide short term heating - not to be used as a replacement for central heating.
