Liked: The room was very nice. The breakfast was good. I loved the pancake maker.

Very nice hotel right off the interstate; staff was very accommodating and the room was amazing. Definitely would stay there again if ever visiting Jacksonville.

False advertisement/dishonest hotel clerk

Liked: We booked this hotel based on it having a pool, and we were traveling with 4 kids that love to swim. We arrived at 8:45pm, well before the posted 10pm closure of the pool. At first, the front desk clerk told us the pool was closed for the night. When we mentioned the website said it was open until 10pm, then he admitted that the pool was actually indefinitely closed and not currently treated or safe to swim in. I really didn't appreciate the dishonesty, or the false advertisement in listing this as a hotel with a pool. I never would have booked it if it had been listed appropriately. After complaining, we were given a $24 credit that didn't seem like enough to make up for the issues. I would definitely not recommend this hotel or choose to stay here again.

Disliked: the guy who checked us in, mario, informed me about a $50 credit hold which is fine, but said i would be able to get a receipt for it after check out. when checking out, i asked for said receipt and the lady (unfortunately didn't catch her name) checking me out said she couldn't give me one. i asked for some sort of proof of my money being held (even thought mario said i would get an immediate refund if i used credit, which i did) and she said i couldn't get anything. i demanded something showing literally anything and to which she laughed in my face and finally printed something off. we left but had to return due to leaving something in the room and when asked to get it she said something along the lines of "weren't yall the rude group that just left" if im a guest, i expect to be treated like a guest. the room was mostly clean, although some damage was very obvious such as holes in the curtains, baseboards falling off, and a hole in the bathroom door. tub drained very slowly so we had to shower while standing in stagnant water. pool didn't work despite it being spring break in florida

Liked: The facility and faculty was great!! It's off in the cut so no noisy street. It's very close to the beach and mall didn't have to travel far. Pool was closed and that's the only downside but foe cleaning.

Broken pool and dirty

Liked: The breakfast that was included was a nice way to start the day.
Disliked: When we arrived to the hotel we were pleasantly greeted by the front desk. We were staying at this hotel prior to boarding for a cruise and after being in cold weather and traveling all day we looked forward to enjoying the pool, unfortunately just after checking in I asked the front desk clerk if the pool was open and he informed me that the pool pump had been broken for a few days. We went to our room and were greeted with a foul smell, the cleaners left their cleaning chemicals in our room, the mini fridge made a horrible rattling sound, and when I unplugged it, it had tons of piles of dust bunnies. We went to the front desk to see about moving rooms and were given the keys to another room and unfortunately that room had a musty smell. When we were asked if we could receive a refund or transfer to a different Holiday Inn we were told no due to using Booking.com. We took a walk by the pool and it appeared to have been broken for far longer than a few days. It was very disappointing as if we had known prior to the trip that this hotel pool was broken and the rooms were so poorly cleaned, we never would have checked in. While leaving we were checking the drawers and room for belongs and found a drawer with a bunch of items left behind.. That was fun to explain to my child who discovered it.

Disliked: It was extremely loud. And the noise continued past midnight. Also, pool wasn’t ready and we had wanted to swim. Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs were cold.
