It was a disappointment.

Disliked: The common areas and the room were filthy. Near the elevator on the third floor, someone had spilled coffee or something brown - that spill remained there the length of my four-day stay. The elevator floor was dirty (the entire time). My room had spaces that had not been dusted in a very long time. For one of my three nights, the room hadn't been made up, despite leaving at 9 am and returning at 10 pm. I had stayed at this property twice in the past, so I was astonished by just how dirty and rundown the facility had become. Very disappointing.

Never again

Liked: We went there as a port in the storm, literally. The night clerk took nearly 15 minutes to come when I rang the bell to check in, and then the key didn't work until the 3rd set, and the rooms needed to be updated in a big way. The beds were terrible. Old mattresses and worn-out box springs. The room was so small we had a hard time getting the cart in and out of there without hitting the walls and the lighting was very bad.They put a 50 dollar deposit on my debit card that they said wouldn't be returned for 4 or 5 days. The handicapped shower was nice. The buffet room was unbearably hot as the air hadn't worked in over a year, and there was no meat or scrambled eggs as they had forgotten to communicate that they ran out on the weekend. We went there as we had just had a positive experience at the Oak Ridge, TN Holiday Inn Express, for the 4 previous nights. Unfortunately, this one in Tipp had a very frugal private owner. I do not recommend this one and would never go back.

Disliked: Computer system was changed that day, data was not backed up, all reservations lost. Clerk had to create new reservations, could not even tell what rooms were available. She did agreat job under pressure, but, customers were frustrated

Satisfied

Liked: It was fresh and had good lighting. The breakfast was quite good and varied. It met our needs for an overnight stop on a long road trip.
Disliked: Didn’t seem to have much interesting near the hotel. On the other hand, it had excellent access off the freeway.
