Good Location, friendly staff, poor...

Liked: Urine standing between the toilet lid mounting hardware and tank. Red stains on wall section next to sleeper bed. Used a disinfectant wipe to desk gave me to clean it off. Bathroom reeked of offensive smell. Breakfast had a decent variety of fresh, hot breakfast food available.
Disliked: Facility was not clean or properly maintained. Water flow was more of a trickle that an adequate flow and the temperature was very difficult to maintain.

Bad

Liked: Nothing .. The first room smelled really bad so they gave us another room. Then at 2 in the morning there was a party in another room that the staff knew about and nothing was done. I will never stay in a holiday inn express again.

Liked: Bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very spacious and well designed. I like the walk-in shower. I prefer walk-in shower over tub/shower.
Disliked: I was surprised that room was not cleaned daily. I had difficulty with the temperature. I couldn't get the heat to operate for a couple days when it was near freezing at night. Finally, when i got the heat working, I had trouble with it being too hot. I did not like that the TV was set to 700 Club during breakfast. I know this televangelistic media conglomerate is local to Tidewater area, but it offended me and I think it is inappropriate for a secular hotel chain.
