Overall the hotel is great. Only bad experience was the breakfast which we were hoping for after spending so much in the city.

Liked: Very close to concert venue and a lot of bars and restaurants.
Disliked: Breakfast was terrible and the food staff made it clear they don't like their job or helping people out!

Close to venue. That was a major plus. Within walking distance even in the cold. When we tried to look out our window the blind was broken and was told someone could "try" to fix it. That wasn't a deal breaker, it happens. Clerk at front desk was very nice, even gave us directions. Came back from show at Rex about 2:30 a.m. Got to bed late thinking we could just sleep in. This was not the case. Around 8:00 a.m. we heard people verbally fighting. My husband went and told them to take it elsewhere. A few of them where physically fighting the second time he went out. It was around 10 a.m. by the time it was totally quiet. We were not the only ones to hear it. As we were heading downstairs for breakfast the elevator was full of unhappy campers. Breakfast was there but grossly overrated. Cereal, muffins, yogurt and fruit. For the room cost I thought something hot would be provided. Leaving the parking lot after checkout, the clerk was on the phone because a few girls wanted a refund, no less than 4 police cars blocked our way out. I believe a free stay would help me understand that sometimes these things happen but they care enough about their customers for them to want to return. So, clean room and bathroom but for the money we paid no way does it deserve the 8.6 rating they boast at the check in.

Disliked: General disrepair- screws stuck into plastic shower wall as a fix, cracked tiles fixed with silicone. Just dated and worn. Some lights are inoperable. The back parking lot neighbors an addiction treatment facility. Signs in hotel indicate restoration is ongoing, but I saw no evidence of it.

Disliked: The room was old, and it really needs updates.. Bathroom had mold in the shower, bathroom fan didn't work. Couch in our room was stained and gross. Had to pay to park.

Liked: The staff were friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was fine.
Disliked: I booked a room for three adults. It had a queen bed, which was good. However, it had a pullout couch, which was extremely uncomfortable! Worse, the hotel knew it was for three adults, yet not only did I have to ask for linens for the pullout couch, I had to make it myself. After the first night of sleeping, I dreaded sleeping on that couch the second night.
