Overall the hotel is great. Only bad experience was the breakfast which we were hoping for after spending so much in the city.

Liked: Very close to concert venue and a lot of bars and restaurants.
Disliked: Breakfast was terrible and the food staff made it clear they don't like their job or helping people out!

Close to venue. That was a major plus. Within walking distance even in the cold. When we tried to look out our window the blind was broken and was told someone could "try" to fix it. That wasn't a deal breaker, it happens. Clerk at front desk was very nice, even gave us directions. Came back from show at Rex about 2:30 a.m. Got to bed late thinking we could just sleep in. This was not the case. Around 8:00 a.m. we heard people verbally fighting. My husband went and told them to take it elsewhere. A few of them where physically fighting the second time he went out. It was around 10 a.m. by the time it was totally quiet. We were not the only ones to hear it. As we were heading downstairs for breakfast the elevator was full of unhappy campers. Breakfast was there but grossly overrated. Cereal, muffins, yogurt and fruit. For the room cost I thought something hot would be provided. Leaving the parking lot after checkout, the clerk was on the phone because a few girls wanted a refund, no less than 4 police cars blocked our way out. I believe a free stay would help me understand that sometimes these things happen but they care enough about their customers for them to want to return. So, clean room and bathroom but for the money we paid no way does it deserve the 8.6 rating they boast at the check in.

Disliked: Fights at 8 a.m. among employees outside our door.

Doable, but won't stay there...

Liked: It was close to PPG paints arena and the staff was friendly.
Disliked: They were under major construction and did not disclose at time of booking. The pool, fitness center and hot breakfast were all closed down due to renovations. The parking lot was full of debris and screws. One of the beds in our room was broken, and they said they couldn't fix it or move us to a different room. It was just not a pleasant experience for the price we paid. Had we known all of this, we would have stayed somewhere else.

Disliked: The hot water didn't work there wasn't wifi on the 6th floor also the pool was not closed down there's supposed to be free breakfast which they didn't have at all it was ridiculously paying that much for all these things this facility was supposed to offer but currently don't offer and they basically told us there was not much they could do about it

Was very good location and...

Liked: Close to the events that we were going to. Very close to the great resteraunts as well as bars.
Disliked: Under construction so it was a bit congested with equipment and supplies. Some things was closed off and not available. Was booked on the third floor an and was supposed to have 2 beds. Only had one bed.

Liked: Fantastic location for what events I planned to attend, vert conveient, the breakfast everyday was very good, a lot of choices, variety of food.
Disliked: Not applicable

Good stay which would have...

Liked: Location was prime for our stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Disliked: They were having construction which was unknown until we arrived. The loud pounding and sounds of power tools at 8am were awful. We also book Holiday Inns because of the massive breakfast included. Due to the construction, they minimize their breakfast. Had we known, we would’ve picked a different hotel instead of eating cereal and yogurt. Also would have been nice to be compensated due to the inconveniences.
