Very poor communication system at...

Liked: Breakfast was good, good variety, staff there was very helpful and would replenish food quickly and provided what was requested.
Disliked: At 7:30 am on Sunday, 9/1 the smoke alarms went off in the entire hotel. We were on the 3rd floor and no one notified us to evacuate. We were not offered an explanation or apology for this scary and trauma event. We had three grandchildren traveling with us and they were frightened and scared and were screaming and crying. All three were sound asleep after a day at the aquarium and were very tired. I know some things are beyond the Hotel’s control but the guests should be notified with an explanation of what was happening. It turned out to be a false alarm as it was something in the kitchen that set it off. Also, at check out I was told I would receive a receipt via email. It has been 12Hours since we checked out and I still have not received a copy of my receipt.
