I highly recommend this hotel,...

Liked: The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and nicely arranged. The breakfast was beyond expectation, this should be referred to as a full serve breakfast, there were options for everyone. The lady who was working the breakfast area in the morning (I wish I could remember her name) both Friday and Saturday morning of our stay was very helpful, friendly, she honestly made our stay nicer.
Disliked: The elevator was slow as molasses, and the internet was also extremely slow. I don't know if it was necessarily a hotel issue or a Eugene issue as we experienced it everywhere we went.

Liked: Didn’t even stay because they can’t have locals
Disliked: The fact that it doesn’t say anywhere in the fine print that locals can’t stay. Me and my girlfriend were celebrating our 1 year anniversary so it was very important to us and we didn’t even get to stay in the motel because the information isn’t correct

Nice, newer, mid-priced hotel adjacent...

Liked: The Holiday Inn Express met my expectations for value, cleanliness, quiet, comfort and good service. Newer hotel across the street from UO; plenty of restaurant, pub, etc. opportunities in the area. Staff was always present when needed.

Liked: The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Eugene Downtown - University, was clean, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast had many choices and the coffee was good.
Disliked: Our blackout curtain was broken, the automatic control would not make it lower. I called the lobby, the receptionist said he would be up in a few minutes. About 45 minutes later I went to the lobby to check to see if they were busy. No, he had forgotten. He came up to the room and could not get the blackout curtain to lower with the remote.He had to grab it and pull it down. It was well beyond the window, but it was finally down.
