Everything was going fine until...
Liked: On Monday evening Jan 13 2025 at Columbus TX Holiday Inn Express, the check-in desk clerk was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.This was in stark contrast to the morning check-out desk clerk, who abruptly refused to give us a printed payment receipt for our stay.
Disliked: No printed payment receipt on check-out.I thought this was unusual as every hotel that we stayed at on my son’s moving trip for work prior to and after the Holiday Inn Express stay had no issues whatsoever providing us with the payment receipt and it seemed to be a natural process for each of them.Payment was made at the hotel, I gave the evening check-in desk clerk my credit card. So why was there no payment receipt on check-out?The morning check-out clerk just abruptly said, “We don’t provide receipts for third-party bookings.” End of story.I probably will not stay at a Holiday Inn Express again. My son’s company requires receipts for expenses.Your company did not meet our expectations.

A Great Night's Rest!
Liked: Staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious. Room was nice & spacious
Disliked: There did seem to be a problem with the water in our toilet tank. It was VERY murky, but after a few flushes it cleared up.

Liked: Nothing to like. When we arrived at 2am, tired after driving for 8 hours, the hotel was shut down due to a water leak. No one was there. And it didn't just happen, but we were not notified and found out from a sign on the front door. Imagine our shock.
Disliked: No one thought to tell us the place was closed down, or cancel our reservation which I was still being charged for. All guests should have been notified so they could find another place to stay. Everywhere in the area was booked up. Horrible experience.

Disliked: It was closed! The hotel had been closed for two months but somehow Booking.com had failed to notice that. Fortunately we were able to get accommodation nearby.
