Disliked: Charge for car parking.Very limited 'meals' in the evening.

Made to feel welcome and...

Liked: Parking - I gave it best rate only because the staff member at reception helped with the parking details - I did not find it easy to use the monitor (but I am not technically minded/skilled) and he kindly waived the fee.Room - clean and bed very comfortable. Duvet kept me nice and warm.Evening snacks. Although certain dishes were not available due to supply issues, I chose to have leek and potato soup - it was the best - very tasty and full of flavour (so pleased that what would have been my first choice was not available!)Location. Excellent for visiting relatives and friends who live in Exeter and out outskirts too. Very convenient location.Staff - friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast - good choice of foods although eggs were not available on the 31st December which I understand were due to supplier issues. Also on 30th there was a problem with the machines giving out the jams.....I gave up in the end, and just had butter.Room - temperature just about ok because I could not fathom out the instructions to make it warmer. I accept I could have contacted reception for help but decided not to bother them.

Cold room with no proper...

Liked: Good location and breakfast was satisfactory
Disliked: The entire top floor had no heating and instead of turning it on they gave me a space heater and said it was more efficient than their heaters. I’m an engineer and work with thermodynamics, this is rubbish

Disliked: A lot of breakfast food was stale or coldHad to ask for room heating to be reset as was only proving cold air on the day of a deep freeze - fixed with a call to reception but frustrating

Convenient, clean, comfortable and cheap!

Liked: need a last minute hotel as didnt fancy another 5 drive that night. Booked as on route to get back next morning. Room was clean, room and comfy. Came with free breakfast as well, was up at 6.30am had my breakfast and was straight on my way. Roads were clear and got back in 3 hours.
Disliked: Paying for parking but other than that all ok

Liked: Good parking, close to Exeter, friendly staff and excellent value for money and good breakfast.
Disliked: Could have done with more teabags/milk in room as there weren’t really enough for all our party in our two rooms. We were able to get some from reception.
