My husband and I have stayed in far better hotels and have only been charged £10/15 per night or whole visit for our dog. Would definitely not book a longer stay in the future - in fact, we will not return to Holiday Inn as a matter of principal. Charge cannot be justified even for cleaning of room. Very disappointed.

Liked: Room and breakfast were good. Completely spoiled by above.
Disliked: Only negative was the £25 charge for our dog. We only stayed one night!

Disappointing

Liked: Our first room was a good size, unfortunately the shower drain was blocked and flooded the entire room. We were moved to another room, where we had to climb over our suitcases that were on the floor to get to our beds. Sofa bed for 2 teenage boys was very small. Location was good, breakfast was great.

Liked: The hotel is in a great location, near the castle and royal mile, the customer service was good, especially Dillon who checked us in and went out his way to ensure our stay was a good one.

Exceptional

Liked: Fantastic location perfect for strolling into the heart of the city about 200 yards from the royal mile. Comfortable bed although I can imagine in the summer the air con unit outside the window maybe a problem. Staff were amazing especially the kitchen staff as plenty of choice at breakfast. Can not fault our choice of accommodation thank you guys so much

Liked: Within walking distance to everything. Only had to use taxi for the airport which was very easy and less than 40£. Daily housekeeping and air conditioning. Pizza from the bar area.
Disliked: Breakfast.
