My husband and I have stayed in far better hotels and have only been charged £10/15 per night or whole visit for our dog. Would definitely not book a longer stay in the future - in fact, we will not return to Holiday Inn as a matter of principal. Charge cannot be justified even for cleaning of room. Very disappointed.

Liked: Room and breakfast were good. Completely spoiled by above.
Disliked: Only negative was the £25 charge for our dog. We only stayed one night!

Liked: Like the usual Holiday Inn Express hotels, room was clean. Location was near to train station but note that Edinburgh is quite hilly so most paths are either going up or going down as you walk.

Liked: Good central location near the royal mile. Polite stuff. Basic breakfast but tasty.
Disliked: Fire alarm went off and we run downstairs in panic, only to find out that it was by mistake. No one notified us early. No telephone to call the reception, you have to call with your mobile phone. All rooms have middle door with next room. When the visitors from the next room were talking we thought they were in our room. Small rooms. Narrow beds. The window let rain water in.
