Very satisfied; rather pricey, but...

Liked: Breakfast was good; nice assortment of choices.
Disliked: Low height of water closet (toilet).

Damage fee charged at check-in...

Disliked: The Holiday Inn adds $50 to the room rate at check-in as a potential damage fee, but this is not refunded at the time of check-out. Rather one is told it could take a "few days" for it to get charged back to the credit card. Essentially, Holiday Inn/IHG is increasing its cash flow at the expense of its guests.Why should it take several days to get this excess charge back? Why is it not just a block on the card at check-in and then released at check-out as other hotels do?At the very least, Booking.com should indicate when fees like this will be part of the transaction. I would have stayed at another hotel if I knew there would be this charge.

Disliked: Fish smell when exiting elevator. They did correct it. Property was difficult to access at night. Poor signage.

A disappointment to the Holiday...

Liked: The location was pretty good to where we were going.
Disliked: We spent 7 nights in the New England area. This hotel was THE most expensive and the least liked which is surprising as I typically pick this chain to stay at. The staff was unfriendly. Breakfast was not great. The room was really small. We were in a king bed with pull out sofa and couldn't get pillows for it because, they ran out of them! How does a hotel run out of pillows? There were no laundry facility at this site either. In all, this hotel was a disappointment to the chain and a total fail for our stay. We had motels in New England area that far exceeded our expectations than this hotel.

Disliked: The sign telling you where to enter is much to small, passed it more than once. In my opinion the bed was too soft. The room was for 4, towels enough for 3.
