Friendly staff, clean rooms, and...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. She wound up waiving the pet fee for my friend's standard poodle. Comfortable room and updated bathroom. Breakfast was your good standard faire (pancake machine too).
Disliked: The location is a bit funky--convenient off of the highway but you wind up driving through either a gas station or a semi-truck repair place to get there. Few restaurants in the area except the fast food garbage. Not their fault.

I pay the extra money...

Liked: The rooms were clean, keurig coffee machine in room, soap dispensers in shower/bathroom, large tv w/ lots of channels. These are some of the reasons I stay at Holiday Inn Express.
Disliked: The hot breakfast items as well as oatmeal was empty. I waited a few minutes to see if they would be refilled and when they were not I asked that they would be. The staff said sure but looked inconvenienced. When they finally refilled the eggs, biscuits, and gravy they refilled the dirty steam trays. (Health code violation.) the lobby bathroom was disgusting and out of toilet paper. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and they made excuses.
