Was a convenient location to...

Liked: The location was very convenient to get to Va Tech and was able to walk to the mall next door for coffee and food. The rooms where ok, nothing great but clean. The staff was very helpful and did their best for us to have a nice stay.
Disliked: The property is old and needs an update. One elevator was broken and the other sounded like it would break any minute. The chairs in the breakfast/bar area where old and torn. We came as a group and got good prices, but I wouldn't want to spend more than $100 for this hotel.

Liked: Room size very comfortable!
Disliked: The breakfast set up. Would prefer to be totally self serve. Waitress serving drinks appeared scattered brain. Half way finished with meal before offered juice

I picked the Holiday Inn...

Liked: Convenience to surrounding area
Disliked: It was disturbing how dirty it was. There was a huge what looked like a blood stain on the carpet, the door frame in the bathroom was covered in orange rust, and the shower was absolutely disgusting we couldn’t even use it. They charged for breakfast without mentioning a fee, the night before they stated it was free 6am-10am.
