One night at Easter

Liked: Location, shower, hotel had parking.
Disliked: Lift not working. Would have preferred earl grey tea in the room. No choices.

Very pleasant experience, very pleased

Liked: Pleasant and polite staff, clean building all round. Room and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and very good value for money.
Disliked: Lift was out of action to go down stairs however we were pre-warned well in advance.

Good, but little things detract...

Liked: Location is the hotels main draw. Near to the major attractions in Brighton.
Disliked: We swapped our room from an ‘accessible’ room when asked by the hotel, no problem with that, but the room we got given had the view of a wall and windows ten feet away, plus the lovely sight of a host of air conditioning extractors. Also, the little things like the room service not providing any mini milk cartons for tea or coffee. I wasn’t about to go looking for a member of staff after just waking up. I know room service would have sorted, but those details for an overnight stay wouldn’t happen in the most basic B&B. One other thing, check in involved queueing for around 20 minutes.

Liked: Near seafront.Staff very polite & helpful.
Disliked: Room was in poor decor, wallpaper peeling off, walls & door frames grubby. Extractor fan in bathroom rusty & not working.The overflow in our bathroom sink had not been cleaned for a while, full of sludge. Dirt around bath.Bin men outside our window at 6am every morning woke us up. Lift felt like a roller coaster it was so fast, all the guests we met said the same.Parking spaces ridiculously small - should be warned of this for guests with bigger cars.
