Great hotel- value for money

Liked: comfortable room. very clean. All the necessary amenities were available. Enjoyed using the pool and fitness centre
Disliked: the toilet handle for flushing was broken but we could still use it

Disappointing in almost every area....

Liked: The main reception of the hotel looks very modern but also quite deceiving if the hotel appearance and general state of upkeep and cleanliness.
Disliked: The facilities are of shockingly poor standard with regards to access, privacy, cleanliness, general state and need for an update.The staff at the reception consisted of a new member of staff who when she was not able to carry out a simple instruction of checking if a room is ready for check in she became dismissive and gave the wring information numerous times. The staff at the pool were constantly watching through to the pool area which felt very intrusive.When the pool staff were asked for an item from the first aid kit they failed to understand and only had 2 small plasters in the entire kit but was asked for bandage plaster. While going through the kit we were offered a sling! and also sellotape!! The gym must have sufficient first aid equipment and an updated medical kit ASAPThe carpet around the hotel was extremely dirty along with doors and walls on level 2 in desperate need of sanitation.Whilst walking to our room after waiting over 2 hours over promised check in time, we walked past cleaning staff and a male cleaner smelt so bad we had to discreetly hold our noses - personal hygiene must be addressed. The smell made us reconsider staying at the hotel if this is what the staff smell like.Paying £16 to park in the carpark of a hotel that I have already paid £150 to stay at for 1 night in a room desperately in need of a clean is shocking and absurd. I am not parking there for a day out I had no choice but to travel in my car and park there for the night.Staff need to communicate - we were given a breakfast voucher but came down to breakfast and forgot the voucher, when we asked for the reception to check the note on the room she rudely told us that we have to go back to our room to get the piece of paper before returning for breakfast. There are computers with room details I'm surprised that a pop up note with this information was not readily available and pieces of paper are a thing of the past. Customer service needs to be addressed.

Exceptional

Convenient location, would use again.

Liked: Really happy that I booked through booking.com because I got a much better rate - almost half the price. We arrived around 2am. Plenty of parking, which costs 8£. Clean room. Receptionist in the morning was very Friendly.
Disliked: Our room was clean but tired - could do with an update. Glad we didn’t pay more.
