Breakfast poor, hotel and room...

Liked: Beds were very comfortable, the staff on the front desk were very good, the room was very clean, but both stays were let down by breakfast.
Disliked: Breakfast was not good. We had to ask for eggs as the pot was almost empty, we had to ask for hash browns as the pot was empty, we had to ask for more tomatoes as the pot only had 2 halves of tomatoes, we had to ask for more brown bread for toast as there was only 1 slice available. AND then had to wait for food to arrive. We came to breakfast at 9am there were only a few people eating so it was not busy. ALSO the strawberry jam had a piece of GLASS in it, which we brought to the waitress's attention, she apologised. We also brought this to the attention of the front desk who also apologised, I felt the Manager should have been called. We have kept the piece of glass as proof....it is 6 mm in size, (photo attached) my husband had it in his mouth and bit into it, this could have been very dangerous if swallowed. The overall quality of the food was not to our expectations; bacon overcooked and in small pieces, sliced bread very cheap quality, no mushrooms, the fruit salad was poor...2 grapes and a few pieces of pineapple. The hospitality tray in the room had the bare minimum on it, no biscuits, a few instant coffee sachets, 2 pods of milk, a few different t-bags, but the front desk did supply fresh milk when asked.The restaurant is not open on Saturday or Sunday, there are limited snacks available during these times.We stayed at this hotel the week before as we made both bookings at the same time and found problems at breakfast, unfortunately even though the hotel and rooms are very good, we will not be staying again as a hassle-free and good breakfast is very important to us.

One of the best airport...

Liked: Don't let the drive to this new Holiday Inn discourage you. It's a little out of the way but still only 10 minutes tops to the Bordeaux airport. The premises were very welcoming as soon as you enter. The room was spacious and comfortable lots of outlets to charge devices; perfectly quiet; brand new wonderful bath. The biggest and nicest surprise was the restaurant. We were kind of dreading the dinner because these types of hotels in France usually don't have decent restaurants. But this one was quite nice. Reasonable menu; well prepared meal and attentive service.
