Cleanliness needs to be improved
Liked: Bedding was clean & location worked for our needs
Disliked: Condom in the toilet & hair on the floor in the bathroom on arrival, bracket for towel holder under sink exposed with very sharp edges, vanity unit in bedroom dusty, light not working on one bedside lamp. It served the purpose of somewhere to sleep whilst attending a family party nearby but I definitely wont be returning

Not awful overall but lower...
Liked: The lone member of staff I met was polite and friendly.Good M6 links.
Disliked: Lots of damage inside the room, particularly the carpets and a cracked sink. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working. Heating unit was not working and would constantly blow out cold air even when turned up to maximum temperature. Room was cold!ALL of the doors in the hotel slam on their automatic closers. You can hear everyone coming and going on your floor what ever time they are up and about!All in all very disappointing. I understand that the hotel has recently reopened after housing asylum seekers for a long time. It appears they have done a fair bit of damage to the rooms unfortunately, this really should have been rectified before reopening. I raised the issues with Holiday Inn after my stay, they eventually replied and asked me to raise them again through booking.com. I did this and included photos of the damage and I got a response saying that as I didn't raise the issues when I was staying there is nothing they can do about it. Not very helpful, this stay was not worth what I paid as I expect better from Holiday Inns.

Great hotel, shame about the...
Liked: The hotel was very clean. Polite and helpful staff.
Disliked: Refrigerator was not working. I was told that the key needs to be in the slot to get it working, but this did not get it working.
