A gem!

Liked: John and Jeanette were very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. The location is within easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants for dinner.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Not enough superlatives to describe our stay. John and Jeanette were excellent hosts, both extremely friendly and down to earth. John was extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. John was very knowledgeable about the town of Bethel and surrounding areas and was more than happy to offer recommendations about places to eat and favourite hikes etc. The hotel was extremely comfortable and super quaint, John and Jeannette should be very proud that all their efforts and attention to detail in regard to furnishings and finishing touches have made for a wonderful boutique bed and breakfast. Jeanettes breakfast were an absolute taste sensation, easily the best breakfasts I have ever had and along with the fresh brewed coffee set us up for our days hiking. Perfect stay all around.

Liked: The homemade breakfast was very very good, but for a typical man, it was lacking. I was expecting a little more like eggs, cereal. The location and parking was good and felt very safe and was quiet. Being from out of state, it took a while to get to, but in many cases that is the exact point - to get away from it all! The town was great and the owners were great and very accommodating. The room was very clean as well as the bathroom. I do like the antique furnishings throughout the house.
Disliked: The beautiful wood floor in my room squeaked, but that's what I expect from a 118 year old home!

Lovely B&B in a lovely...

Liked: John was the perfect host. We couldn't have asked for more. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The town was exceptionally pretty, with lots of restaurants, and even a Mineral & Gem Museum two doors down from the B&B. Perfect place to stop on our way from the Maine coast to the White Mountains of NH.
