Beautiful place, overpriced, nothing remarkable.

Liked: The hotel and gardens were full of character a beautiful place to stay.
Disliked: The evening meal was poor. Poor presentation. Gristly steak. We were not asked how our food was or given steak knives. We ate our meal in the long bar due to having our pup with us. The bar was freezing, the table was too low to eat comfortably. The £35 bottle of wine was £8.75 in the supermarket, totally unreasonable. Advertised as an award winning dog friendly hotel not one member of staff acknowledged our dog.

Liked: Old charm. Original features. Famous history. Beautiful setting. Convenient to other places
Disliked: We found the bed and pillows to be un comfy. The walkways around the rooms were dated and blinds in the room would have been better alongside curtains. The carpet didn’t meet the edges! But our dining experience was exceptional

Absolutely amazing!

Liked: The holdsworth hotel is an absolutely stunning property! The only thing more outstanding than the building is the staff. They were so accommodating and kind, making us feel so welcome. I cannot recommend the holdsworth enough and can’t wait to return! Thank you for an amazing stay!
