Liked: Stayed here before, Lovely hotel, clean with everything you need, staff helpful & friendly Nice pool.Fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice.Free parking.
Disliked: Could do with a dryer in changing rooms for swimming kit.Maybe a mini fridge in bedroom would be a bonus

Liked: all of the above is true , it is the second time i have stayed , 3rd or 4th using the facilities the staff are always friendly and nothing is too much trouble , i will use the hotel again

An awful experience

Liked: On the face of it: Parking facilities and accessibility combined with traditional grand old building
Disliked: It was not nicely renovated, not well maintained, and too pricey for what it offered. The electricity failed in our room in the morning. We were not offered an alternative room, instead asked to wait until the manager arrived to decide on next steps (!!) this did not happen, we showered in complete darkness and had to leave to reach an appointment. We were promised all would be fixed on our return. This did not happen: nothing had been done and the evening staff were apparently not aware there was an issue. We needed to remove our possessions in darkness without assistance and demand to be moved. We were not refunded a penny. In addition the hotel billed our rental car company 100 quid for parking although parking was included in our reservation. The rental company paid up and sent us the bill . In short, be warned: the real cost of your stay in the Hogs Back Hotel is not the one you see when you place the reservation.
