Great staff and location

Liked: All of the staff were extremely helpful. They recommended places to eat which was a real winner. They let me have an early breakfast as one of the tours collected me at 8:00 am - very helpful. They looked after my suitcase on my departure day as I didn't need to get to the airport until late afternoon. The lack of a front desk in the evening was a bit odd but I knew about that in advance. The room was on the Spartan side but very comfortable and heated just right. Who goes to a place like Dresden to sit in their hotel room all day anyway. The room was clean. The hotel breakfast buffet was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. There was a great selection of fresh fruits; cereals; meats; cheeses and bread. I really liked where the hotel was located. The Neustadt is much quieter than the Altstadt and there was good transport over the river. There was a good choice of restaurants but my absolute favourite was Wadzke recommended by the hotel.

Disliked: The breakfast was quite expensive for what it was and there was no hot food.
