Liked: Good staff, perfect location, really close to the CBD and the main services. Rooms and bathrooms pretty clean.
Disliked: The kitchen. Really small (4 cooking places for the entire hostel!) and dirty all the time. Also they close it after 11.00 and half an hour morning and evening. That makes really difficult to prepare your meals in acceptable time.

Liked: Great location, close to all the needed places in Hobart. Sometimes wait times social rooms to use. Can do laundry (paid) and store luggage (free). Towels are provided and the beds were quite comfy. Room was relatively small with not a lot of spare place to use for unpacking etc but it was okay for a short stay.
Disliked: I’m pretty sure there was mould in the room that had been painted over..? We got pretty bad nose/throat allergic reaction that only got better after leaving the hostel. Kitchen was pretty small and stuffy, definitely not made to serve the size of hostel that YHA is. Sometimes wait times for the shower were long.

Liked: The free pancakes were great! The staff were lovely. Everything was clean.
Disliked: The ventilation was a bit limited with only one window.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely people to meet and talk to.
Disliked: That all the rooms are upstairs - I asked for and received assistance while I was there but I would prefer to be independent (able to move my suitcase)
