Disliked: Didn’t see one member of staff on 3 days.

Liked: The location was lovely. The room was spacious, for sure. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, which was nice and unexpected.
Disliked: The instructions to get to my room weren't super clear, especially after 18 hours of traveling and exhaustion. Several other guests there had the same issue, including some who were trying to get into my room, thinking it was the main property door. They're not equipped for snow, like much of New Orleans, so trying to get around the property was dicey. I heard at least half a dozen people fall during my stay there. Likely not a regular concern though.There was some previous water damage and mold in my room, so a long term stay would have been bad for my lungs/health. Also, the heat was not on when I arrived, so my room was around 50⁰F when I got there (it was in the 30's outside). Took several hours for the room to heat up, which was mildly jarring.

Great location, but the pictures...

Liked: Location. Right on Saint Charles Street with the street car out front. Location can absolutely not be beat. Small refrigerator in the room.
Disliked: The bathroom’s toilet seat was completely loose, and so were the fixtures faucet handles of the sink. The doors did not feel very secure, and had significant gaps letting in a lot of light from the hallway. The pictures in the booking.com posting do not reflect what most of the rooms look like, which are significantly smaller than depicted. Also, the rooms need a better clean, particularly the floors. One of the lamp’s lampshade was covered in mold,

Liked: Staff member "Diane" was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. It is because of her that I have rated our stay this high.

Liked: Location, location, location.
Disliked: The Tv was confusing, but besides that, not much.

Any other time this would...

Liked: It was right on the Streetcar line in the Garden District! Sadly, we stayed during a 100 year event and none of the streetcars were running.
Disliked: There is NO NO NO Elevator. We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs! Yikes

Liked: Loved the location. Loved the atmosphere. Love the kind staff (Ms. DIANNE). IT WAS VERY CLEAN.
Disliked: Wished it had a coffee pot inside the room. And maybe a microwave. Wish it had a linen closest accessible to the second floor with black make up wash clothes as well.
