Great location and very charming;...

Liked: The location is excellent, the room was comfortable, and the hotel is charming. I loved the vintage look and feel of the common areas. Despite the downtown location, the room was quiet and peaceful.
Disliked: The logistics of the valet and checking in/out were confusing for a first time visitor. There was no printed information about the hotel in the room, which I didn't like. The coffee maker in the room was broken.

It sucked

Liked: The location was awesome. The valet was awesome.
Disliked: This hotel was very noisy compared to their other building! All night long you could hear traffic and people on the street yelling. Additionally, the room above us must have had a jumping contest going on- most of the evening. We left a bag in the lobby, in error, while loading the car to leave. When it was realized we called to the front desk, we had already turned in our key and was on the road. It took 20 plus minutes to reach them. By the time they returned our message and sent someone to that building to search our bag-it was gone. I asked if we could see the security footage of the lobby- nope! They DON'T HAVE CAMERAS; THEY DON'T HAVE FRONT DESK STAFF... just guests, hoping for the best.

Liked: The room was lovely and the staff seemed very nice
Disliked: The valet situation is not great. We had stayed at a beautiful hotel the night before where valet parking was $11 per day. Here is was $40 for the one night and we were directly requested to tip $7 both to have the car taken from the hotel and another $7 to get it the next morning. Worse even that the valet situation was the mechanical systems in the room made an abundance and variety of noises throughout the night. I suppose that can be chalked up to the age of the system but it made for a very unrestful night.
