Very good

Adequate hotel for the price...

Liked: We went to the Modern as part of a timeshare promo. The room was adequate and it was a good location for the price. The pool was small and chill, which we liked.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the room had a weird wood sliding panel that took up about 50% of what was an amazing view. Also, there was some sort of labor dispute. One afternoon we had megaphones in our ears and had to leave the pool. A few days later we were woken up at 7am with screaming and chanting from a megaphone and protests from former workers. The hotel staff had no explanation.

Great location

Liked: The location of this hotel is fabulous, the pool areas and outdoor lounging areas are superb.
Disliked: The hotel is an older one. There are no dressers for your clothing and very minimal closet space. There is a small shelving unit in the closet for some clothing but not enough toom for 2 people’s. Our Keurig did not work, and had to request a new one which didn’t work right. There is not a snack store in the hotel either nor coffee in the lobby.

Liked: The size of the suite and two balconies were perfect for us. Proximity to the beach and shopping centre.The view over the marina.The Hilton Hawaiian Friday fireworks display was superb from our balcony.
Disliked: In a suite with a microwave, I would have expected plates, glassware and cutlery.The pool bar and wait staff weren't very attentive or friendly.A bar in the adults-only space would have been convenient especially since the infrastructure is already there.

Very relaxing and great pool...

Disliked: Security cards for accessing the rooms were very sensitive and needed replacing on a number of occasions

Disliked: The bed was hard and low
