Beautiful and comfortable staycation in...

Liked: Large comfortable room for a family to enjoy. Onsite golf and restaurant was excellent. Beautiful desert views and the resort is close to home for a wonderful staycation to celebrate family and friends.
Disliked: Would have preferred a downstairs unit and closer to the golf course as I have enjoyed in the past. Onsite spa would have been nice, it may have been closed during my stay.

Charming place, charming people, incredible...

Liked: The facility and grounds are beautiful. We love the stucco exterior and Mexican style interior decor with clay tile floors, planation shutters, beehive fireplace and upscale feel of the units. The resort environment is absolutely charming, esp. when considering the Rancho Manana golf course and the Tonto Bar & Grill adjacent to the HGV property. Our host, Griffin, was a cool dude, very helpful and attentive, and sales rep Brenda is terrific, so helpful and nice, introducing us to Cave Creek’s great bars and restaurants and discussing options for future stays as renters vs. members. We will return to this resort time and time again.
Disliked: Kitchen utensils, pans, ceramicware, glassware are minimal.

Except for the noise issue...

Liked: Pool was great. Location to town was great. Layout of rooms were nice to keep sleeping separate.
Disliked: I complained on day one about the very loud and constant "clicking" and banging that would not allow us to get a good nights sleep. We were told it was the new watering system that was not properly set and that it would go away after that day. We were in building #1 and apparently any time anyone in our unit. the unit above us, or the sprinkler system used water, this very loud and constant clicking would start. It did not allow us to get even a decent nights sleep the entire 6 nights we were there. We have stayed in other units at Rancho in the past and never had this issue.

Liked: The area was beauiful and was able to use the pool even after check out
Disliked: That I didnt get the room I request they gave it to someone else that couldn't do upstair I was short a Bed. My son had to sleep on the couch. He was not happy about that. They couldnt move me or tell me what happen until the next that i check out manager told me what happen and why i didnt get the room i had paid for and requested
