Good
Liked: Really spacious rooms - well lit, good views, warm and with everything you'd need. Very comfortable beds. Overall had a good stay here.
Disliked: The shower is awful. It gives you a trickle of water and sometimes doesn't get properly hot. It's the main reason I've given only a 7. Would probably be a 8/9 without that.

Good location, nice rooms at...
Liked: Mostly everything
Disliked: Was told the pool was fully booked. Went and checked and it was empty. Kids from hockey tournament fist fighting by the elevator. And basically partying in the hallways all weekend. Called for towels 3 times in 24 hours before we got them

Excellent hotel but lacking some...
Liked: On the plus side, the hotel architecture is magnificent, the dining experience outstanding and the staff excellent. The room itself, a corner suite on the top floor, was good with great views. We could even see the CN Tower across the city more than 26 Km away. The location is easy to get to just off the 407 highway - far enough from downtown Toronto but still accessible. Markham is a thriving area with every sort of facility one needs.
Disliked: We were surprised by the lack of amenities in the suite: no mini bar, water glasses, bathrobes, slippers, or writing pad and pen. There were two bottles of water but cost $2.50 each. The tea/coffee maker included 4 small creamers, but 3 of them were off, and we had to pour the curdled coffee out. So, we decided to have tea instead but there was only 1 English Breakfast and 1 Camomile tea bag. Of course, we were able to order replacements, but this was not a 5 star experience. We also had to pay for parking, which is not unusual in big city hotels, although many hotels do provide free self-parking for guests and paid for valet parking. In spite of all that, we really enjoyed the suite, and give high praise to the staff and to the restaurant.
