Average, rooms dated, wouldn’t stay...

Liked: Food was excellent
Disliked: The rooms felt dated and in need of a refurb. When we arrived to check in we couldn’t park as there were 2 weddings on, which wasn’t a good start.

Liked: - swimming pool, sauna and steam room - location - friendly staff - comfortable clean rooms - relaxing atmosphere - child friendly
Disliked: - 50th Birthday and pre arranged with hotel. No mention of this throughout - this is not a deal breaker, but a small token of 'special' from the hotel is always welcomed. - restaurant food wait times were exceptionally long. (Staff were super helpful and when the food arrived it was good). - No fridges (there was a cupboard for a fridge), water or biscuits in the room alongside the tea and coffee making facilities. Again thought this is missing a trick as budget hotels have water, biscuits and a fridge and paying premium prices, it should be part if the facilities.

Disliked: The menu.... there were a lot of things on there that were put in a fancy word that we didn't understand all there was plain was fish and chips which were very nice what's happened to the plain food with good old potatoes either mashed or boiled with your lovely pie we stayed 2 nights had fish and chips first night 2nd night we had the steak which was not worth £30 for what we got that was very very disappointing when we stayed before there was lots of food plain that is to choose from so sorry to say it was a big let down with the evening menu

Disappointing

Liked: Friendly staff. Main lobby and grounds were nice. Nice pool and jacuzzi area.
Disliked: Room and bathroom were rather dated and needed updating. Very old TV. Got food poisoning and had to cut the holiday short. Staff were however attentive and supportive and refunded the last night with no hesitation.
