Hilton Orange County-Costa Mesa, Costa Mesa

This hotel was not a good experience for the money I paid for one night. Power out as I checked in, which they did not tell me. Someone was stuck in the elevator, the air conditioning system was poor, no ice at the machines and, had to wait for it to be brought up.

Liked: The bed was comfortable at least.
Disliked: Upon checking in, the hotel receptionist did not tell me the power was out and a lady was stuck in the elevator. They had NO staircase to use upon emergency, we had to go through the kitchen and back way to get to our room. The air conditioning sucked so it was hot inside our room all night, and I had to wait for ice which they did bring me but it was a tiny bag.

The valet was great but expensive to park. Room service was quick. It was OK for a quick weekend trip.

Liked: The hotel was very spacious.
Disliked: The room we stayed in had a loud noise all night like someone was using a vacuum - very annoying. Also, the TV had no menu/guide button. You had to scroll through every channel just to see what was on.

We ordered sandwiches at 11:35 and had to call back only to find out that the chef had no more food - cookies and chips is what we were offered. We should have gotten a call back immediately after to notify us that there wasn't any food available.

Liked: The rooms were well maintained; hospitality was good.

Exceptional

Could’ve been better.

Liked: I liked spending time with my partner on his birthday.
Disliked: I didn’t like that when I got there to check in as I walked up the lady at the front who was alone was giggling at me there was no one around me either so i don’t know what was funny, very unprofessional too. Also the following day I asked if I can get someone to come clean the bathroom floor which had lots of water on the floor after I showered because it went through the cloth curtain that is there and no one answered me through the text communication thing you have so I called the housekeeping number and they told me they couldn’t clean it but would bring me towels so that I can do it and when they did come they brought me a robe so I had to clean all the water on the floor with that.

Very good

Liked: Good location. Very clean. Starbucks in the lobby. Convenient location. Very large rooms.
Disliked: Staff was not the friendliest and most helpful, except Starbucks lady full of energy. They charge 5$ handling fee for each package you receive (online shopping etc) and it takes a while to track and find them.

I was not pleased with...

Liked: The bedding cover was very dirty. It was my daughter's first time staying in a hotel. I wanted to give her a good experience. She is an adult woman with Autism. We had to move to another room, with no assistance in moving our luggage and other things to another room. I am so sore from moving most of the things. My daughter tried to help but didn't understand what was going on. Not enough towels for two people and not many choices for the room service breakfast menu. I called the front desk about the problem. I was told someone would be right up to change the bedding covers. No one showed up. I waited 30 minutes. So I went down to the front desk. I was issued an apology after I showed them the photo of the bed cover. I was told I could get another room or wait until someone came to change it. I decided to get another room. I was given a new key for the new room. I stated I need to get my luggage from the other room. I was td to move my luggage go the other room. I was giving a key back for the old room to transfer my luggage to the new room.
Disliked: Dirty bedding cover. I have a picture of the dirty bed covers.
