Great Plaza Staycation
Liked: Loved the room layout! We had plenty of room for a family of four. We got a view of the Plaza and that was great! Enjoyed the music they had playing in the lobby and appreciated the beverage station available for complimentary water or coffee.
Disliked: The pool was a bit on the cool side for being heated and I do wish there was a hot tub. Water was not free in the room.

Liked: The staff was ok and addressed any concerns we had.
Disliked: The breakfast buffet was not very good for the cost. There was a variety of items, but the food that was supposed to be hot, was not. It was cold on both days we ate there. We also had some issue with the room description given on booking.com (not any fault of Hilton), but were expecting a 2 bedroom suite, so getting there and finding out the two beds are in the same room and there is a sitting area separated by a dresser with a tv on it was not quite what we were expecting.

Good clean hotel close to...
Liked: The location is good and close to many restaurants and a short walk to transit. The bus system in KC is free!!
Disliked: The one thing to look out for is the breakfast situation. Booking.com says you have free breakfast but not other specific details on the app. When you go down to the restaurant the server seats you and gives you a menu, brings you water and OJ and says there’s a buffet- you choice what you want. Some hiltons I have stayed at have Omlets included in the buffet for free. I ate the buffet 2 days and ordered off the menu 1x. When I went to check out I was very surprised to see I was charged from the restaurant - when I questioned this, the manager said it’s only the buffet that’s included - there is no signage to say this at the restaurant or the card in the room to pre-order would require you to pay for it. Maybe a clear sign at the restaurant on on the check-in sheet would be helpful. As there’s a miss communication from booking staff and the kitchen.

Not the best experience.
Liked: The location is ideal.
Disliked: There was a foul smell in the lobby and pool area. Staff was pretty unfriendly and unaccommodating.
