Both Hilton and Booking.com failed...
Liked: There was a strike during our stay. The people that were hired to replace the strikers were wonderful. The Hotel was beautiful, and the location was great! We just wished we had been able to enjoy it all. The fireworks show was beautiful but even the strikers were trying to ruin it by banging on large drums.
Disliked: There was a strike during our stay. We were not advised of the strike or given a chance to change our reservation. There was trash in the hallways, no housekeeping and we had to go to different floors to get towels or coffee, or just about any amenity. There were strikers yelling, blowing horns, hitting drums from 6am to 10pm. We could not enjoy the pools because the strikers surrounded the pools and some of the beach area and chanted and yelled. There was no service at the pools, as far as food and drinks. If we wanted to eat on property, we had to go over to the Rainbow bazar and eat pizza or sandwiches. There was no room service. We spent most of the time outside of the resort, so we could enjoy some quiet.

Passable
Liked: We loved the location. The 2 bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: There was an employee strike happening. No valet parking available. Parking TOO expensive for self parking. Room was not as clean as expected. Had guest self service to stock rooms. For the cost of the stay that should not be the case. The strikers were very loud. Many times disturbing sleep.

Not a great place to...
Liked: We had one day that we had our room serviced and amenities that we paid for.
Disliked: We arrived the day before the housekeeping staff went on an open ended strike. The first day was amazing from there on it was challenging. The rest of our holiday we had striking workers on horns, megaphones and chanting from 6.00 am to 10.00pm everyday. The striking workers wandered around the resort any time of the day or night chanting even had drums at times. We had paid for full room service but what we got was hallways littered with rubbish and dirty towels. No room service, had to find our own clean towels and other supplies we had paid for. No way of cleaning our room, the floors were dirty. There were cafes at the pools closed. This was our 3rd trip to this resort and we had recommended it to lots of our family and friends. Never again as we were told that there had been a strike for 3 days a few weeks ago.We were given a small refund but certainly not enough to compensate for the inconvenience and more so the noise from day light until late.No apologies from management it seems they were happy to let it go on. The receptionist was apologetic but they are not in a position to do anything.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at...
Liked: Wonderful location on the beach with full service hotel close to restaurants, shopping and activities.
Disliked: More specific information on the bed set-up of the rooms would have been preferred. We called ahead and requested the second bedroom of the 2-bedroom unit have 2 full beds. We ended up with 2 twin beds. It worked out but had to use the sofa sleeper in the living room.
