Liked: Hotel looks beautiful, main lobby was fragrant.The stay included one-day pass to Grand Prix Resort for the entire family, and kids took a couple of rides- those were old and just ok- nothing like a theme park.We could also access a mini-golf across the street, which was fun for kids, but the carpet was ripped at various hole-courses and the water streams were unclean (too much plant debris)Rooms were nice and clean, so was the furniture. Each room and the living room had separate TVs. We didn't watch.Showers were nice but shower head rods were too small and due to that the water just hit your face, instead of top-down. Toilet papers were plenty but cheap quality.
Disliked: Staff security couldn't keep smoker guests from smoking. And our experience with kids to sit in the balcony to enjoy the ocean was terrible. Someone was quite frequently smoking something that didn't smell like regular smoke. Nasty smell! Our kids constantly held their breath and eventually would just move inside. However, it was not possible to leave the door open, and we always had to close the door. Couldn't determine where it was coming from while we were on the 21st floor- a level below the penthouse.Bed pillows were terrible, I had neck pain after all 4 nights.Master bath sink was clogged, had to call for service- should've been taken care of before our arrival.Dishwasher had a foul smell.Washer / Dryer was from 18th century and was TOO LOUD.The medium size electric-stove burner wasn't working for our pot, the others were either too small or too large.Kitchen seemed aged, but was ok overall.Luggage carts weren't available for guests, only had to be used by concierge, who would then take your stuff up to the room (which of course is not "free").Swimming pool size was awful, and only for kids. And the swimming area bathrooms were less than clean and out of soap.

Nice stay
Liked: Discrepancy with the booking.com pricing and the hotel prices when we went to check in, they attempted to charge us $85 more for our stay in addition to the $100 holding charge. Took us 20 additional minutes to get checked in. They were helpful but almost made it seem like we weren’t being truthful about the pricing of a stay we booked a year in advance. Outside of that our stay was amazing as per usual this is our 2nd stay and we will potentially be back, but I am going to look into different locations for next year as I wasn’t pleased with the pricing discrepancy.
