Liked: Staff were lovely except for a guy who brought additional tea and milk (only 2 tea bags and milk pots in room on arrival) and hovered for a tip.
Disliked: Checked in just after lunch. Room was roasting and thermostat didn't seem to be working. Reported it to the housekeeper who agreed and said she'd call maintenance. We then went out. Came back about 11.30pm and room was still extremely hot (this was March). Tried to sleep on top of the bed but eventually got up at 6am because it was so hot and stuffy and had a cool bath! Heard apparent maintenance work going on overhead and fan came on shortly after. A pity it hadn't been done when first reported.

Greatly exceeded our expectations.

Liked: Great room. Large. Super clean. Great facilities in the room and all the amenities we would like. Quiet and fantastic views from our window.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: We had no hot water for the duration of our stay. When I spoke with the receptionist she didn’t seem to be bothered at all that we were unable to have warm showers. This was due to a faulty boiler but as customers it would have been nice to know on check in as I may have swapped hotels at that point.
