A great place to spend time in Portsmouth; friendly; helpful; happy atmosphere; nice location; can't wait to return.

Liked: Very clean; nice sized room; great coffee and enough. The room and bed warm and wonderful.
Disliked: Nothing.

It was a generally nice...

Liked: Location, comfortable beds
Disliked: Drain plug for tub was missing, lights next to beds didn’t work, no guide for the TV channels, hot/cold indicators on shower and tub fixtures were reversed, usb charger outlet didn’t work, some inconvenience due to renovation

Very very disappointing

Liked: Location
Disliked: There was no facilities at all we were to believe there was a pool sauna food etc but it was being renovated and no effort was made to make us aware of this or we would have booked somewhere else . On 2 different occasions they messed up taxi booking for us making us miss our bus . There was banging and noise each morning from 8am and work men everywhere . It was extremely disappointing as this was a family holiday we saved for all year . So disappointing.

Liked: Great location to the downtown area
Disliked: Rooms were outdated and breakfast that was advertised was not offered the weekend we were there. The bathroom shower curtain smelt horrible and there was visible mold in the shower. Did appear that the hotel was undergoing renovations so hoping it will improve the condition of the rooms.

Very dirty and disappointing

Liked: The location is great. I’ve stayed here many times because it’s convenient to walk downtown. Lisa, one of the hotel staff, was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I’ve spent two years since I’ve stayed at this property and it’s gone way downhill. I understand they’re doing a renovation, but the floors were filthy. The stains on the carpets were bad enough that I asked to change your room for the first time in my life. And the room that I changed to was only marginally better. I called down and spoke to a gentleman about the carpet in my first room and he just thanked me for calling. I had to call back down later to ask to be moved, I just couldn’t stay in that room. It was very sad and disappointed, this has been a hotel favorite of mine over the years.

Not worth 200.00/night, would not...

Liked: Only the location and friendly staff
Disliked: After making the reservation over 2 months ago, was not made aware the property would be undergoing renovations and the amenities that helped make our choice, the indoor pool, exercise room and laundry room would be closed. Our room had many stains on the carpet, ripped curtains and peeling paint on the doors.

Liked: All spa facilities closed, gave us a room with construction right above us which started at 8am on Saturday morning and till 8 pm Friday evening.
Disliked: Full price for a room under a construction zone and pool and hot tub closed is an absolute joke. Only one elevator operated and took forever.

Liked: It was a well appointed room and quite comfortable.
Disliked: On Thursday morning I awoke to a leak in the bathroom. I reported it and waited for a technician. He came and reviewed the situation. Since I needed to get to my appointment I told him to fix it while I was gone. When I returned at 9:00pm the Front Desk told me that the leak was fixed. When I entered the room I discovered that it had not been cleaned. I was tired and did not report it until I checked out. In addition, the TV service was inadequate, the paper cups were not appropriate for the room and there was nowhere for breakfast. The HVAC was noisy and hammering began early.
