Liked: The location to everything in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Disliked: They are apparently renovating their hotel (which I was not informed about while reserving the room via Booking.com), and they start their construction at 7AM every morning!!! It woke up our toddler and we’ve had an awful day because of this disrespectful decision from Hilton Garden Inn to think it’s ok to start banging, using loud power tools, etc., directly on the floor above ours at 7AM!! I spoke to their GM, Charles, and he was extremely dismissive and just kept regurgitating how it’s in the “fine print” about their renovations, signs at the check-in desk, and his employee should have told me while I was checking in. I informed Mr. Charles that none of their signs state the renovation will start at 7AM, and there was zero notification on booking.com nor did his employee mention anything about it during check-in. Even on the Hilton website, all it states is hotel is going thru renovation, but it does NOT state that it’ll start at 7AM. My family and I had the worst stay ever at a Hilton Garden!! I’m never going back there, and we find it extremely disrespectful and rude of Hilton to think it’s ok to start any kind of renovation/construction that early in the morning, at a HOTEL where guests are on vacation and trying to sleep/relax!!! It’s a hotel, NOT a commercial office building where people are coming in to work. We are there on vacation, to visit a tourist town…it’s baffling!!!
