Hilton Garden Inn Minneapolis Downtown, Minneapolis

We had no issues with the hotel, but felt it was somewhat overpriced due to the downtown location. We were treated courteously, but as mentioned above, did not appreciate having to cough up an extra $24 for parking. We are retired and on a fixed income, so would have liked to have been advised of this beforehand. We really didn't think the hotel was anything outstanding, and it seems as though you are mostly paying for the "Hilton" name. Should we return to Minneapolis in the future, we will likely choose a different lodging site.

Liked: The room was comfortable, quiet and immaculate.
Disliked: We were unaware of the mandatory $24 valet parking fee and that was an unpleasant surprise.

Excellent accommodation. Restaurant and bar hours could be extended. Colton at the front desk always went way beyond expectations! Centrally located.

Liked: The personnel, the room, the town car availability.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. Loved the front area. Decorated beautifully and everyone was very friendly. All in all I would stay here again.

All in all this was a very nice hotel. I would stay here again. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious enough for 4 adults.

Disliked: The driving service they have available for guests was ok. The valet parking only was a little upsetting.

Good location, but old hotel...

Liked: The breakfast was good. the location was good. The staff were courteous.
Disliked: The parking charge was $40 per night. If you walk 5 minutes from the hotel, the parking charge is around $15 per day. The carpets were old. The doors and mirrors were worn out. The whole room has to be refurbished. The breakfast was $16.

Disliked: My car was broken into....there was no damage on the outside but the car had been gone through. Stuff from the glove box and center part were on the floor and seats. There was nothing in there of value but still, someone had definetly been in there.

Liked: Staff helped us find our booking, even though it was not coming up in their system. They did not give up on us and they all were very friendly. Everything was very clean!
Disliked: The breakfast should be continental, if not at least cheaper than it's current price. Paying that much each morning for rather simple breakfast options isn't worth it, and I'm likely to seek a better breakfast elsewhere for around the same price.
