Brilliant place to stay if...

Liked: Excellent location for an early morning flight departure. Undercover 250m walk to airport terminals. Clean, comfy and even had hair conditioner (which no other hotel in Germany we stayed in seemed to have) Some family departed in the early morning, so the hotels held our bags tillOur night flight. Easy train/ S or U to the CBD from underneath the hotel

Bitten by bed bugs

Liked: PROBLEM: I was bitten by bed bugs, foto attcahed from my bitten right ankle. Medical experts identified the origin since the bitting pattern of bed bugs is unique, cannot be mistaken with any other type of insect bite. Obviously this fact cancels out all other aspects of my stay.

Convenient, but slightly too expensive.

Liked: Great location for an overnight stay the night before an international flight.
Disliked: We could have been informed during check-in that we needed our room card in order to operate the elevator.The temperature in the room was far too high. The thermostat should come with instructions.

Disliked: I requested a baby cot when making my reservation. Upon arrival the cot was not provided at the room.When checking with the reception I was told no baby cots available even though I specifically asked for a cot when making my reservation. As an excuse they said the door lock for the storage room where the cods are stored is broken. Just call a locksmith! As the reception wasn't able to find a solution a manager was called, which was only able to communicate in English, which to be honest is ridiculous for a hotel based in Germany. During the discussion no solution was provided by the hotel. I had the feeling they wished I would walk away. At the end I have asked for a mattress to be put at the floor. What they provided was a mattress cover. There was no apology from the hotel manager. Only the intern that served me first pressed a hardly earned apology over her lips. To be honest I didn't feel welcome at this hotel. I felt like I am a problem and not a welcomed paying guest. Based on my experience I cannot recommend this hotel to families with young children. As a single traveling parent with a 1 year and a 4 year old the service provided was disgraceful.
