Felt like visiting family.
Liked: The kind and gracious host Matt makes amazing breakfast at your requested time.
Disliked: Home away from home. The snowy view of the mountains and town below were beautiful.

Amazing Hosts & Stay!
Liked: This place was perfect! We came for the fall foliage festival. It was great that we could park for free on location and walk into town without worry. The host Nancy was exceptional. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts Matt cooked were fantastic. This felt very cozy, like visiting a friend. Would definitely come back!

We would definitely stay here...
Liked: This is a lovely property with terrific hosts. The room we were in was nicely decorated with a four poster bed and a private bathroom. The hosts, Nancy and Matt, were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. This was our first trip to Jim Thorpe and Nancy provided great recommendations for restaurants (especially for our anniversary) and what to do in JT (we especially loved the Trolley Tour, the Jim Thorpe Memorial, and the Asa Packer Mansion). Nancy also gave us a great tip to sit on the righthand side of the Railroad Tour to get a better view of the scenery. Matt was the primary chef and offered several breakfast options that were freshly made and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay at Hillcrest.
Disliked: The house was close to downtown but up a very steep hill that was not easily walkable. The road was not heavily traveled but there was no sidewalk or shoulder to walk on, which made it a bit more challenging. We had no trouble parking downtown during the week but it will be more difficult on busy weekends.
