The serenity of Queenstown

Liked: It was a perfect location with stunning views of the lake and the mountains. The apartment was quiet and relaxing with the outdoor sitting area was well used.
Disliked: There is nothing that I can say we didn’t like.

Liked: Good location & convenient for walking into town
Disliked: The shower wasn’t working properly, the freezer was iced over & unusable & the bed was lumpy

Pristine, close to the city.

Liked: Everything was perfect. The view was stunning. The bedding comfortable. It had a nice bath and amenities.
Disliked: The location was a bit tough on the feet when returning from the city (quite the uphill walk) however we were given a tip by a local to use the lifts at a nearby hotel to skip the majority of the hill and that was perfect.

Receptionist has poor customer service...

Liked: Apartment and facilities were clean. The view was breathtaking.
Disliked: It was our first time in Queenstown. My wife was attending a Emergency training/workshop the was held at the QT Hotel (just down the road 30 Brunswick), the workshop was for a week and they were fully booked and we wanted to stay some were closer to the QT Hotel which is why we choose High View Apartments. Initially it was only supposed to be me and my wife, but unfortunately there was some last minute issues that we had to bring our 2 young daughters (age 6 and 8 years old). Upon arrival we presented to the reception(11th November), I had informed the receptionist regarding our situation that we had to bring our 2 daughters, because initially we booked for only 2 Adults. I had requested if we can upgrade our room to accommodate us all or move us to a bigger room. I was told that there were no bigger rooms available but we have to pay for another separate room for our 2 young daughters. After minutes of waiting he finally confirmed the apartments that we were to stay in and we had to pay another $1300+ ontop of the initial booking made. We we went to our apartments we noticed that the big apartment(the one facing the lake) was more than enough for us (my wife and I with my 2 daughters) as there is a king size bed and x2 large foldable sofas that can be converted into beds. My wife went back to the receptionist to asked again if we can only pay for the big room/apartment only and not the small room(facing the car park) as the big room was more than enough for us all so we dont have to pay an extra $1300+ for a room that we do not need(as we were on a tight budget) as we will all stay in the big room. Unfortunately there was no help we still had to pay for the extra room, she was told that the rooms cannot accommodate more then 2 people as there was only 1 king size bed in each room. (I am not sure if he knows that there are 2 large foldable sofas in the big room that can be coverted into a queen size bed).

Excellent quiet location for a...

Liked: We had an apartment overlooking the lake on the second floor. So we had wonderful views!! Spent a relaxing 9 days here! Staff very helpful and good facilities in the apartment.
Disliked: It’s at the top of a step hill so walking up from town is a good 15 minute walk.

Clean and functional, a fair...

Liked: Bed was comfortable with pillows that suited us. The closet was roomy and the safe worked fine. Late check-out was accommodated.
Disliked: No sink for washing the dishes which was odd, had to use the bathroom basin. Drawers in part of the closet would have been good to lay out clothing.
