Liked: It was comfortable and clean. All important heating worked. Shower was lovely. Nice to get biscuits.
Disliked: No milk in the room for tea/coffee. We had to ask and then only got 2 sachets which was not enough for 2 people. I kept hitting my head on the beam above the bed, way too low, room was a but snug. We didnt book breakfast, weren't aware we had to on booking. Reception didn't ask us on check in either. Bad experience when we did want breakfast though. Asked where to go, have our room number, reception didn't tell us we hadn't booked it and needed to. We waited 20 min to be served, only when others arrived and got breakfast did we realise something was off, then told we hadn't booked and they needed to check with the kitchen if there was enough food, then we waited another 15 odd min for the food. When we did finally get breakfast, it was good. We will go back but knowingly.

Liked: the location was beautiful ,close to everything you need,just a short walk or drive to centre.
Disliked: When we arrived,there was only one member of staff for whole building,we was told no resturant ,the chef had called in sick,the carpark was like a ice rink,nobody had cleared footpath very slippy under foot.the whole place was freezing,once heating came on after plenty customers complain of cold.we had to order takeaway to eat in hotel. overall would not stay again,they just want your money,dont care about anything else.we paid 85 for one night to be cold ,no resturant,no coffee available,really poor service.

Liked: Cooked breakfast was very good and well presented.We thought the continental breakfast which was the same price could be improved.
Disliked: Your information in the hotel needs to be updated.We thought the continental breakfast was £9.99 as advertised in your hotel and an email from you also stated this so we were confused when we payed our bill to be told the continental breakfast was the same price as the cooked breakfast which we didn’t think was value for money.

Liked: For the price we paid we couldn't complain. The owner was very friendly and hospitable and the room very comfortable. We had a delicuous cooked breakfast in the morning
Disliked: For the price of the room there was nothing we didn't like.

Liked: Bedroom and Bathroom were exceptional. Lovely and warm. Host very welcoming and friendly. Bar on site. 10 mins walk into Matlock.
