Found this place by chance,...

Liked: Excellent facilities, the room was clean, tidy and comfortable, bedsheets, towels and everything was clean. We had supper and then breakfast the next day in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Very disappointing

Liked: Gardens were very pretty
Disliked: When we arrived at property there was nowhere to park as carpark was full of vans belonging to men (assume working in area) who were staying at the hotel . There was a lot of them . Our room was situated above bar which was very noisy with all the men who were staying and also we couldn’t open our window as below was the smoking area where also they were making lots of noise .We were bitterly disappointed as this was supposed to be a relaxing break . We had to contend with men shouting in corridors and banging doors continuously and this carried on till gone eleven o’clock . The next morning I complained and we were moved to another room at a quieter part of hotel . This room was so much better but unfortunately owing to lack of sleep night before our stay was spoilt by the first nights experience . Had we of known that the hotel was full of workers staying we definitely would not have booked to stay there . The staff were very apologetic but I do think it is unfair to let the rooms to guests under these circumstances

Well appointed friendly hotel with...

Liked: Very good breakfast, friendly & helpful staff, room (bridal suite!) had comfortable four poster bed, large screen tv, table and two chairs, and was well supplied with large towels & toiletries, walk in shower, separate large bath, and separate loo & double wash basin area. Pleasant garden.
Disliked: Disconcerted by semi-transparent door to loo & basins area. Visually interesting cups and saucers (looked like china handbags) but square shape meant difficult to drink from! Disappointed that restaurant was not open evening we stayed, although receptionist happy to suggest other options - nearby restaurants/meal delivery.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff...

Liked: Well presented breakfast and wide range of hot food options. Fridge in room had juice, water and fresh milk. Electronic thermostatic shower controls. Friendly staff who provided a secure space for my bicycle
Disliked: I'd have liked stronger coffee!
