Good hostel

Liked: Pretty standard hostel. Good value, it's one of the cheapest options in Vancity. Quiet location, near a park and beach. A big and well equipped kitchen is a huge plus. I liked the huge lockers they have there.

Good for the price

Liked: Facilities. Spacious bathrooms and dining facilities. Well equipped
Disliked: Location. Very far from downtown and difficult to reach by public transportation and with large suitcases.

Disliked: Very few electrical outlets in the hostel, almost none in the dorms. Very difficult to charge your cellphone

Great separation and privacy in...

Liked: This place worked very well for me and my friend on a budget. The location is a bus ride away from the inner city of Vancouver and the views from the beach are a fun bonus of being outside of the city. The beds were comfortable with a light and outlet plug for each bed. I liked that the 16 person room was decided into 4 room by 4 bed spaces, separated by a curtain for a little bit of privacy. The staff was also very kind during check in and when I was trying to do laundry:)
Disliked: We didn’t mind the location but know that it’s about a 20 minute bus ride into town.

Liked: Interactions with the staff were all very good.
Disliked: The dorms were noisy and cold. The Fire doors are very loud when they close against the latch and when there are people going in and out of the dorm at odd hours through the night it is very difficult to get enough sleep, also, many of the windows were left open inexplicably so I frequently felt cold at night.

Great hostel in Van

Liked: Perfect for couples backpacking. The private rooms are good sized and have pretty much all the basics you’ll need. The toilets and shower are very clean in this hostel! There’s a cafe beside the hostel too, which is convenient. Walking distance to Jericho Beach. Would stay here again for sure!
Disliked: Wifi connection inside the rooms can be improved. Bit of a walk to the nearest bus station - so could be a bit of a struggle if you have big bags and luggages.
