Could be better

Liked: We were staying on the second floor near the Foosball room and common living room. The noise was excessive and we couldn't sleep until around 00:30 am. When I told the reception about the noise and the silent time period that was listed BY THE PROPERTY, he just didn't care. Breakfast was weak. Toilets and showers were clean, I thank the cleaning staff.

Good location & decent price!

Liked: I liked the location was very good in the downtown area. breakfast of toast & apple with coffee. The beds were comfy & getting a towel was nice. The old building has a charm to it with all the floors creaking.
Disliked: The floors creaked and cold drafts in the hallways.

Ok for the price

Liked: I really appreciated how hard the cleaning crew worked to keep everything clean. The room was kept clean and we had fresh towels every day. The ranking is in no way a reflection on the cleaning crew. Lots of space in the bathroom.
Disliked: I wish the door of the room closed properly. As a woman traveling alone having a safely locked door would have made me feel safer. Breakfast was very basic but okay for the price. Overall the hostel itself was okay but the shared areas could get a little dicey: you never know who you are going to run into and that's part of traveling and staying in a hostel but security would have been a plus. Despite all of the cleaning crew's efforts the hall always smelled like pee. I enjoyed the activities organized for free by the hostel but the staff knew nothing about them: practical information like where and when to meet, if there is a need to register etc.

Disliked: The breakfast was really poor and the elevator was broken the whole week.

Liked: Great location, great staff.
Disliked: Was supposed to have a room with a bathroom but because the shower wasn’t working properly for the majority of the stay it meant I had to use the corridor bathrooms, during repairs it was even completely closed off so toilet use was also through the corridor restrooms. Also a long stay in an upper floor (5th floor) while the elevator didn’t work wasn’t ideal, at least they could have moved me or something.

Disliked: I forgor my t shirt in this property, but they told me that they didn’t find anything. I’m pretty sure that I left it on a bed. It was a really nice tee. :(
