Very good

Liked: Location was amazing, and the balcony with the sea view incredible:) couldn’t stop watching sunset and sunlight. The breakfast buffet was delicious, so many options for everyone, our baby also took advantage and found proper food.

Disappointing for an expensive hotel

Liked: On arrival to our room the key cards didn't work, two staff tried different cards but still didn't work, cleaner let us in. They continued to try different keys but didn't work. They asked if we wanted to move room, of course we did! There was a very dubious stain on the door of bathroom but they couldn't clean it. We finally moved rooms after 45 minutes. Our taxi was booked so we didn't have time to shower.On our return there was no water in the room , or no coffe/tea/ etc facilites, I has to go to the bar and buy a coffee. We had no apologies , nothing , I booked a large expensive room to be told I didn't 'qualify' to have a room that contained tea/coffee making facilites.

Liked: A very good hotel, price-quality could be a bit better. But huge compliments to the staff. From breakfast staff to receptionists, with in particular: Raquel. Being a receptionist myself so quite critical and visiting several hotels in Europe on a monthly basis, I have never been received as kindly and sincerely as I am with Raquel. To the management: cherish this lady, as she makes sure that the hotel's little flaws are quickly forgotten by her way of hospitality. I visit Barcelona about five times a year, I will definitely come back!

Disliked: Getting too expensive for what you get. The new owners called the previous Hesperia del Mar hotel ‘Barcelona Beach’, a fancy name and a fancy reason for higher rates.

Liked: as my first visit to Barcelona - this location was more than great 🥰 close to the beach, close to the city center, everything was absolutely gorgeous, thank you guys, we will be back 🥰
